using your notes, i ended up navigating to following key/location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002bE10318}\0011
i've added two new string values:
abolt type ................... 1
disableTurboG type ..... 0
kindly confirm i have the new reg key name/spaces correct, thanks.

Hello,
i was thinking of upgrading my card (a/b/g card I) to card II.
I have a Linksys WRT54GS. I found out, that this router is based on the broadcom chip set and does not suport super G so no 108Mbit/s.
I guess i stay with my 54Mbit/s.
The linksys "faster" system is called "SpeedBooster" and is based on the broadcom chipset.
Cheers,
Jens

I will not change to the abg II card.

The generic Atheros driver does not work with IBM a/b/g Mini-PCI card.Nolonemo wrote:I also wonder what would happen if you used the generic Atheros drivers and client utitlity instead of the IBM software and Access Connections.
But you can use IBM driver and Atheros Client utility to get 108mbps. In this case the regisitry should also be modified.
Not working for me after registry fix on T60p (running mini-PCI Express version of the Atheros card) while using an Atheros SuperG Access point, the WPN802 from Netgear.
Please see my detailed post HERE and please let me know if anyone has managed to get this configuration work.
