reseating keyboard

#1 Post by Nabeel » Thu Jun 17, 2004 10:04 pm

one the ibm site, it says

"Use the new screws provided with the keyboard to secure the keyboard"

so it comes with a replacement set? why can't you use the old screws? i'm just wondering in case i have to reseat it again. the right side is a little raised so i want to see if i can fix that, and my enter key squeeks. any suggetsions?

You can reuse the screws with no problem. IBM uses nylon covered screws which they consider one-time use only because the nylon keeps the screws tight and squeak free. In reality, it's not much of an issue-- just IBM's high-standards.
