T60 Power Adapters History of Faultiness?

#1 Post by fefrie » Mon Jun 17, 2013 2:50 pm

I just seem to notice that alot of t6x series laptops when being sold on ebay do NOT come with power adapters. Do they tend to go bad?

Just because they are sold without a power adapter, how do you come up with the conclusion that they "tend to go bad?"

No this have nothing to do with it. Genuine power adapters, from all manufacturers, tend to be one of the more stable and long lasting component of a laptop. Most of the listing on ebay are by companies or people who gets old laptops from corporations/government that do not include a power adapter. Some recycling companies will sell a laptop and power adapter separately.

It was an observation, hypothesis and question.

T4x series laptops seem to always have a ton of power adaptors.

I find that t4x laptops almost always come with adaptors.

The power adapters changed with the T60 series and will work on current TP. A lot of people will also keep the power adapter, as a second power adapter, on their current TP.
