My Thinkpad's GPU idle temp is too high

#1 Post by Djmax4599 » Thu Jun 20, 2013 1:05 am

I have an Thinkpad R61 and it has an Nvidia Quadro 140m and the idle temp is between 70 to 100 degrees which is weird because it used to idle at 50 to 60... I cleaned all the dust from my Thinkpad and the CPU's idle temp is normal but my GPU's is too high... Do I possibly need to buy new Thermal Paste?

Probably that'd sort it out!
IBM Thinkpad A31 2.0GHz Pentium 4, 768MB RAM, 40GB HDD and a ATI 7500 16MB shimmed
Lenovo T420 4236-PA8: WiFi card replaced with a Broadcom one (fixes most DPC latency), 64GB Crucial M4 SSD added as OS drive, original HDD in a DVD to HDD caddy.
