Questions

#1 Post by gab » Sun May 08, 2005 2:55 pm

I have several questions:

Are keypads on the 15" screen models larger than keypads on the 14" screen models? If so, how much? One inch?

Do the t42ps and t43ps that come with 1 GB ram usually come with one stick of RAM installed, leaving an empty slot?

Will the t42ps and t43ps that come with a 9 cell battery work fine with a 6 cell battery?

In general, if buying from a third-party seller rather than IBM, are there any really important warranty differences? (When comparing the same type of warranty over the same time frame.)

Thanks.

I dont know about this, but looking at some pictures indicates that the keyboard is the same - There is just a bit more space on each side on the 15" version.

They come in one slot.

They will work just fine. Just about a third less runtime.

there shouldnt be since IBM gives you world-wide IBM warranty. Hence IBM will be providing you with the warranty and not just the store.

You may not be able to return it for 30 days no questions asked as you can with IBM. Otherwise...just make sure they have the ability to change the warranty date to the date of purchase and not to the date they *they* purchased it.
