Going off only the info you have provided, I would say yes you can install this without any trouble. What is the model of the SSD?

all depends if your laptop is ide/Pata or sata

if is sata just change the HDD with youyr new SSD

if it is ide/PAta you have to : make a sata mod OR install a ultrabay ( remove dvsd player and istall )

the follwing are the T41 specifications
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail. ... MIGR-58183

seems that your laptop has a sata HDD, if yes just change the HDD with your new SSD

Yes, you can install the SSD in your T41, or even in your T23!
