Bolger Aurora Nail Spyware
Despite my best efforts, I let my A31p get infected with the Bolger/Aurora/Nail spyware (apparently a transponder type spyware from what I can glean from the articles on the net). Norton Internet Security prevents it from reaching the net. Apparently not disastrous, but very annoying. Do any of you know a bona fide site(s) or spyware deletion software that can help me get rid of this stuff? Running XP SP2.

Short answer: No.
Scanned with Microsoft AntiSpyware, Ad-Aware SE Personal, Spybot, Registry Healer, Hijack This, and Norton Internet Security and Antivirus.
None of these do it. Microsoft AntiSpyware says it removes it, but it reappears.
Lots of articles on the net, but always wary of some of the so-called fixes.
That's why I'm wondering if anyone on this forum has encountered it and fixed it with success.

My SIL has it on his personal T40 and I've been attempting to help him remove it via telephone and email.Sleep Machine wrote:That's why I'm wondering if anyone on this forum has encountered it and fixed it with success.
So far there's no joy to report as he says it continues to reappear. I'm hoping to actually get my hands on it later this week if the problem persists.

Report them to Eliot Spitzer:- Will spyware be Spitzer's next big thing?Sleep Machine wrote:Bolger/Aurora/Nail spyware
If he can't exterminate these pests then no one can
