T 500 vertical line on lcd

After opening the lcd lid the other day to clean and also to enquire ( this was the first time i attempted that) I noticed a white line appearing after turning the laptop on - nothing strange happened when opening, just removed the cable then put it back


is this permanent - is there any chance i screwed the lcd while removing it?

note:

when adjusting the brightness the line area is also affected


(btw I opened last year a T43 and was ok- different philosophy in parts obviously )

I'm sorry to say that it certainly sounds like it. If it were my machine I'd open it again and check for any imperfect fitment within the LCD assembly.

i 'd much appreciate to learn where should i look for imperfect fit
so is this temporary or permanent damage?

i mean the cable looks ok - there is the horizontal board on the top back under that cloth...
i really cannot understand how this happened
