Upgrading T400 Screen

#1 Post by alemeno214 » Thu Jul 11, 2013 7:53 pm

I bought a T400 recently for quite cheap, and so far it's been a great machine. I've upgraded the ram and hard drive, and now I'm wondering if I can upgrade the CCFL WXGA to a CCFL WXGA+ screen? Is is possible to order a WXGA+ screen off ebay and just swap them out? Is it an involved process to replace the screen on a T400?

Welcome to the forum!

Replacing the LCD is not that difficult. Just make sure to get a proper Lenovo screen with a FRU number on it, and not a "compatible" one.

All info on "how to" is in the HMM:
