I'm really not sure what to make of this. If it is just a broad stroke precautionary measure it seems excessive. If they have actual knowledge of hacks in the hardware or software that compromises the users data I would love to know the details...

I've seen quite a few of these articles posted around but I don't think I would take it too seriously.

At the end of the day most of these laptops are made in the same place...
