how do you run the no-1802.com file?

it says you have to run it in dos.. but with windows xp, how do u get to an actual dos prompt?

also, i'm running this for a IBM Minipci a/b/g II card which worked in my x40, but it doesn't work in my X31 for some stupid reason, its really pissing me off, i bought this card to specifically run on ibm and it doesn't even work on different models.

If you have a floppy drive, set bios to boot offf floppy first, then insert win98 boot floppy.
If xp only, hit F8 affter bios ini and before xp loads and choose dos prompt

Windows XP allows you to format a floppy as an MS-DOS system disk, this should be sufficient.

It is not so easy, you need a desktop computer with a floppy drive and a floppy disk, what is not easy to find todays.

But to help you guys, here is a ISO file I made. You just have to burn it and boot from it.

no1802 doesn't effect neither the BIOS or any other function, BIOS update still works after hacking and no1802 setting stays hacked even after BIOS update.

problem is, the X31 doesn't have a cd drive or disk drive, also, is it true the wifi light won't work with the 1802 hack? will the ibm connections program work?

After some other hacking, yes. For Your specific case, I think is it better to buy an IBM card...

I am trying to find an easy way to install the 1802.com hack for my IBM R40. According to your message, do I only have to burn this file (ISO file)onto a CD and run it. Is it that simple? Thanks for your help. Fred
