E420s WiFi to 5ghz upgrade.

#1 Post by kokein » Tue Jul 30, 2013 2:57 am

hello Think's ;)

I'm owner of E420s PN# 44016YG. I need to upgrade my wifi card to 5ghz. (now its i think IntelWiFi Link 1000 BGN)
On whitelist there is Intel WiMax 6250 that can work in dualband (inc.5ghz) and now:

1. if i'll change my wifi card, to abowe do i loose bluetooth ? (or it's "with" my 3g modem F5521gw?)
2. can I use installed antenas for 5ghz card (there will be any wavelength problems?)

Maby any other -easier- solution?

For any help will be appreciated :)

if your current card is supporting N you can upgrade it to another N card. antenna connections will be same
and bluetooth / hspa is handled by different cards in your pc, switching to another wifi card wont make a difference to them
