UXGA over DVI possible with T43p ?

There has been some discussion about how the DVI output can be used for UXGA with older Txx models. How about the T43p ?

I would like to run my 20" TFT monitor with 1600x1200 over the DVI connector of either the ThinkPad Dock II or the IBM Mini-Dock. Since the T43p does have an ATI Mobility FireGL V3200 graphics I'm not shure what of the former discussions also applies to the T43p.

1. Does anybody already succesfully operate the T43p with UXGA over DVI ? How ?

2. What about special drivers like the Omega drivers or DNA drivers ?

3. Does it make a difference using the ThinkPad Dock II or the IBM Mini-Dock with respect to the UXGA/DVI issue ?

An additional question.

Will the November drivers that Bill did put on the ftp server work with the FireGL in the T43p ?

even that I never got any reply to my questions it might be interesting for someone that in the meantime I bought a T43p (2668G2U) and it's no problem to drive an external TFT monitor (Dell FP2000) with 1600x1200 resolution over the DVI output of the minidock and at the same time use the T43p's TFT display as a second screen with 1400x1050 resolution. Amazing ! You can move the windows between those to high res screens which really gives you a lot of workspace.

you can achieve 1200x1600 on DVI with a special hack to the general ATI driver..
at least on the T42 series..
and probably on the T43 series though i have not tried it..

Actually the standard ThinkPad Video driver for the Ati cards should provide UXGA over DVI on the T43 range - this is a new feature than was not available in earlier models
