BIOS setting for, "Power on with AC attach" in T4xx or T5xx?

#1 Post by portsample » Thu Aug 15, 2013 3:07 pm

Could someone tell me if the T4xx or T5xx series have BIOS settings that boot the installed operating system when AC power is detected?
I'd like to use one of these models at a remote location to collect data. Power would be locally generated and sometimes fails for extended periods. I'd like a system that would reboot automatically when power is available again.
TIA for useful information regarding this BIOS option.

BIOS history for T400 does not list it: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... uj49us.txt

BIOS history for T410 lists it as added in v 1.34: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... uj29us.txt Same for W510 http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... uj29us.txt

So it looks like you need a T410 or W510 or later.
