T61 crash after unplug charger

Hi,

My refurbished T61 7659-12G with Windows 7 installed with all the updates has started to crash when I unplug the charger or when I resume from sleep mode when the battery is unplugged.

Is this a hardware or software problem?

I bought it refurbished and have 1 month warranty left. I would prefer it to be a simple software fix / patch if possible rather than have to return it and backup/reinstall it but any advice would be welcome

That's a hardware problem.
Bring it back and swap it for another T61.
Just take the hard disk out, put it in the new machine, and you're all set.
