The TrackPoint is without a doubt the most efficient means of interfacing with a computer. If there were computer Olympics, with events such as web surfing, Outlook, and Excel, in terms of speed, accuracy, and avoiding carpal tunnel, my ThinkPad and I would crush any mouse, touchpad, or touchscreen competitor.

I challenge you to this online test, which rkawakami told us about in this thread:

http://www.tele-actor.net/fitts/fitts_background.html (read this first to understand the nature of the test)
http://www.tele-actor.net/fitts/consent_form.html (fill out the consent form and then start the test)

Try it 10 times using the trackpoint on your favorite Thinkpad and report your best time here. Then I will do the same, except I will be using a touchpad on one of my laptops. Other forum members are welcome to participate.
