Lenovo T420 - Mobile Internet + Memory and HDD Upgrade

I have a Lenovo T420 laptop and under the battery there is a slot for a sim to use mobile internet, but just doing a bit of research, not all models comes with the 3g modem.

Just checked on my device manager, under networking adapters I only have the wireless and ethernet adaptors :/

Now, my question is, how can i get mobile broadband on this laptop without having a dongle sticking out?

Also, it only has 2 GB memory in, any recommendations on upgrade?

Also, it only has 300GB HDD, I’m thinking of Acronis'ing the current HDD and getting 1TB or so in, again, any recommendations?
