T430 Keyboard issues

#1 Post by Wazzles » Thu Sep 12, 2013 10:22 pm

I got a T430 today and I have been having some major issues. The biggest is the after I upgraded the RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB, the Trackpoint mouse buttons no longer work. I believe this is related because you have to remove the keyboard to upgrade the RAM. Another issue I am having is that the keyboard backlight no longer works. I believe this to be software, as I stupidly reinstalled Windows (over my recovery partition, I might add). I was wondering if there was some sort of driver or software that I need for the backlight.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

One more thing: I believe that this has nothing to do with the operating system, as it does it with Windows 7 and Ubuntu running off of a flash drive.
