Most rugged Thinkpad

#1 Post by Eugenias » Fri Sep 13, 2013 10:19 pm

I trying to find out what is the most reliable and rugged Thinkpad available. I am planning on carrying it around in a backpack so it has to be rather solid so it doesn't break. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum!

If carrying a laptop around in a backpack is all that you're intent on doing, any T series ThinkPad will do. Should the weight be a concern, X2*0 series are fairly sturdy for their size.

If you need this to be bulletproof, you might want to consider adding on-site and accidental coverage. Then you'll be covered quickly regardless of how your notebook is damage. Even well built notebooks sometimes fail or are dropped, which will not be covered by the standard warranty.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was actually considering the W series since these are supposed to be workstations; what is your view on these?
