This T-410 is my third T-Pad in the last 8 years. Never had a problem with R & R, always has backed up, and I’ve restored from it several times. I always backup to an external USB drive.
For the last 2 or 3 weeks, every time I back up I get an error that says, “The backup can not be completed.” Diving into the logs at c:\swshare\rr.log, only error I find is “br_funcs returned error 0x58A”
So, I restore from a R&R backup of a month ago. Obviously it could save a backup at that time. Didn’t let any updates of any sort come down, but got the same result.
Then I uninstalled R&R, reinstalled, ran System Update and took the R & R update, and got the same result. Ran a chkdsk on my C:\, then backed up. Same result.
So the problem has to be in RRbackups folder on my USB backup disk…right? Took ownership, deleted that, R&R built a new one, went all the way to the end and I got the same result. “br_funcs returned error 0x58A”
Anyone know where to go with this? There is very little about it in a Google search.
