X41 tablet hdd ssd upgrade options

#1 Post by sentosa » Sat Sep 28, 2013 6:12 pm

Ive just got me new baby a x41 and i love it. However im on a budget and want to run windows 7 and want to go to a ssd.
Now as im on a budget and i want the best bang for my buck i was hopeing to buy a 64 gig sd card and adapter to fit into a cf card . You can get these on ebay. Then put the cf adapter into the adapter to allow it to be used in a x41 drive bay. Now am i doing a option that will work?????. Have any of you better ways or ideard to upgrade my x41. Thanks dean new zealand

that will not work as windows will see the CF card as removable media and refuse to install.
IBM Thinkpad A31 2.0GHz Pentium 4, 768MB RAM, 40GB HDD and a ATI 7500 16MB shimmed
Lenovo T420 4236-PA8: WiFi card replaced with a Broadcom one (fixes most DPC latency), 64GB Crucial M4 SSD added as OS drive, original HDD in a DVD to HDD caddy.

if you meant sd that also wont work (removable media) but a msata is the best ssd option for these machines.
