missing the Microsoft key -any way to program function key?

i used to use the Microsoft key + M to minimize all the windows at once.
is there a way to program a key or combinations of key on our ThinkPad ?

Do you know if that customizer would permit you to swap the position of the Ctrl key with the Fn key?

That will be my biggest wish for the key rearrangements when I finally get a T42.

I'm constantly using Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V for copy and paste, Ctrl-A for "select all" and Ctrl-S for save, so I like that my pinkie can easily find and depress the Ctrl key by simply sliding down to the lowest,leftmost corner key, habits that have proven extremely handy on standard desktop keyboards.

I'd like that rearrangement too. It's like, the only annoying thing about the T42 so a fix for this would be appreciated.

i just use the right ctrl , i never use it for anything anyhow,
yeah FN key will be the best. i didnt see that option.
only CTRL, ALT and SHIFT all on both sides

The reason I prefer using the LEFT Ctrl key is because if I depress it with my left pinkie, then I can use my left index finger at the same time to press either:
s to save
c to copy
x to cut
v to paste
a to "select all"

It isn't a coincidence that these Ctrl key combinations rely on letters located close enough to the left ctrl key to be pressed at the same time by the same hand.

It's helpful to be able to get your hand on the right keys with an easy, efficient motion because these are key combinations you can be doing all the time.

For instance, every time I post a message or send an email, I never click "send" until after I first press Ctrl-a to select all the text I wrote, then Ctrl-C to copy it all to the Windows clipboard.

Then I click the button to send (or post) my message. If for any reason my system locks up, if the browser crashes or some odd glitch makes me lose my message, no problem. I just open a new window and press Ctrl-v to paste the saved text into it. It's insurance against the aggravation of losing work due to random glitches occuring when you send or post a message.

Ah, that would be unfortunate. If anyone knows a way to do it, I'd love to hear it.
