X41T WINDOWS 7 INSTALL OPTIONS

#1 Post by sentosa » Sat Oct 05, 2013 5:45 pm

Ive been trying to install windows 7 on my x41. Howver i can not get to boot off the usb thumb drive. Is their some way to fool the machine into thinking that it is a usb cd drive????
Im thinking of buying one of those cheep adapters to run my T60 ultra bay slim dvd drive off my x41 usb . Any information would be great . Thanks

X41Ts should be booting fine from a usb thumb drive. I have installed various linux distros via a usb on my x41t. Have you enabled it in the bios startup list? If yes, what program did you prepare it with? Try rufus http://rufus.akeo.ie/ if you want.
