IBM T43p copper under heatsink *PICTURE*

Hi, i have got a Ibm t43p 2,26 2048 ram. Don´t have copper under heatsink. This laptop have copper under cooler View image:

But my t43p have aluminium so,Why don´t have copper??

That heatsink looks perfectly normal to me.

I'm not quite certain that I understand the essence of your question here...

Is not the heatsink, is the part that have the red mark. This picture is of a normal thinkpad. My T43 has this part ( red mark) of aluminium instead of copper. So, why?

Looks like someone dropped the cooler when installing it or something, it doesn't matter, don't worry about it.

Edit: Oh I think I get it now, a difference in material at the base plate of the ThinkPad, again, nothing to worry about, maybe T4xp models normally have copper, while the others have aluminum, maybe it depends on the where the base plate is made.

I still wouldn't worry about it.

I have a 15" T43 base plate here, it has aluminum in that area, the one in the pic is a 14", how big is yours?

Could be that 14" have copper while 15" have aluminum.

I have a t43p 15" and has aluminum so, its normal ?
