An interesting calculation --

Assign a multiple of six to every letter of the alphabet starting with A=6, B=12, C=18, and so forth. Then add up the numbers for the letters that spell the word "computer," and what do you get?


C+O+M+P+U+T+E+R = 18+90+78+96+126+120+30+108 = 666




Uncanny. Haven't tried "ThinkPad" ... Too afraid to find out!

There are many crackpots on the web who sincerely believe that computers and the internet were inventions of Satan to drive man further away from God by making him seek science.

I am not one of those people. But someone, someone out there will read that post about computer being = 666 and do something utterly stupid.

I do sincerely think that there should be an IQ test to use a computer or the internet.
