New computer. The hard drive is partitioned and came with window 7 and windows 8.
After installing all the updates the 500g hard drive, windows 7 partition is 88% full.
I'm looking for ways to expand the windows 7 partition or
remove the windows 8 installation to expand the drive size.
thanks

Re: 430s win 7 & win 8 partition - remove win 8
Turns out the answer is:
The Primary partition is Windows 7 and the 2nd partition is a windows 7 recovery area.
The Lenovo Solution Center was reporting the partition was 88% full.
After power up the system downloaded about 145 updates.
the recovery area was set aside with about 14g of area. As updates were added they were applied to both partitions and the recovery area is now down to 1.7g.
Apparently there is a product called Partition Magic that will allow you to modify, install and remove partitions.
