Glazer completes takeover of Manchester United

Glazer now owns a 57% share of the club after buying the 28.7% stake of Irish racing tycoons JP MacManus and John Magnier.

I just heard on the BBC news that Galzer bought someone else's shares and owns up to 70% of Man United now. Some of the fans are really steamed...

However, further demonstrations are expected to follow Thursday night's angry scenes outside the club's Old Trafford ground where five fans were arrested after hundreds gathered to protest,armed with banners and burning effigies of Malcolm Glazer.

Interesting to compare the reaction to the Man United buyout to the reaction to the Lenovo sale... my question is: why weren't ThinkPad fans burning effigies at IBM headquarters in Aramonk???
