#1 Post by argon15 » Sun Oct 27, 2013 10:05 am

Hello to all

wondering if anyone has or can get me a photo kindly back of the motherboard since I came off a component and do not know where I have to re-solder.

Thank you all

Exactly what part came off?
And for pictures, look on eBay and search for IBM r51 motherboard,
e.g. here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-IBM-Len ... 3cd228aa58
There are a lot of pictures there if you look in whatever is for sale (not the ones in a chassis or base).
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)

thanks for taking my call, the component that is missing is a resistance should re-solder the SMD in place. I checked on ebay and other sites but they show only the front and rear ones I found were low resolution and you could not see anything even enlarging

Do you still have the component which came off? If so, just search the board for a location where that component came off... Assuming that it really is a resistor (if in doubt take a photo of it and post it here), the component is way to generic to find its location based on its value.

I'm going to hunt for fuses on this board within not to long. I just put in a similar request for high-res imaging so something might show up. If not, I might be able to make some but only if I need to take out the whole board to replace the fuse(s). If I manage to replace the fuse with the board in place I'll gladly skip pulling the thing out so I can not guarantee that any images are forthcoming.
