user manuals online?

Does anyone know where we can get T series user manuals online? I want to know what the illuminated icon means, the one between the battery and the processor cone. I guess this is also a general question for all ThinkPads but I have a T40 so I thought I would ask :) Thanks.

On my T42 the Icon left of the battery is 'ON'

That's the jagged lightning bolt symbol for the unit being "On". It's between the Battery and HD icons.
