OSX 10.6.3 Retail DVD Kernel Panic on installation on X60T

#1 Post by Nevadita » Mon Nov 11, 2013 2:48 am

i dont feel like refloat the older thread. (its rude to refloat old threads).

Alright so i have this Thinkpad x60t i buy for 100usd, it comes with Windows 8, CoreDuo at 1.86Ghz 640GB HDD and 3GB RAM, i wipe the windows because while the os feels good, a lot of apps, mainly audioplayers and drawing ones runs painfully slow. so i put linux and things has been worked pretty well since.
(except for the annoying sleep issue)

so i decide to install OSX on it...for testing, i have a friend which uses Macs since years, and he gave me a retail copy of Snow Leopard 10.6.3 on both DVD and iso file, i dont have a mac personally and cant install OSX on my desktop because its AMD. (CPU and GPU aswell) and cant use the physical DVD because i dont have the dockbase, so i use transmac to copy the ISO to a USB HDD, and i use NBI to boot. the installer boots and i can manage partitions and stuff, im using another 160GB HDD for OSX only:

So i partition the drive on GUID and HFS+ and then i click install, installer begins to install, 10 or 12 minutes later it panics (the typical OSX kernel panic, black square with multilanguage message)

Any ideas? (take in mind i dont have access to a Mac/Hackintosh machine) i tried to run SL on VMWare Workstation and it crashes the VM.

Thanks
