HD trouble

#1 Post by califas » Fri May 13, 2005 9:53 pm

I sold my old HD off my T23 on ebay and the buyer says its DOA. It was working the day I sent it off and I packed it up well. The only thing I can figure is that I was using it in an external enclosure and had it assigned as drive letter k:

Would the drive formatted as k: cause it not to boot up? If so whats the easiest way to re partition it and format it to c:

TIA

I don't think that merely reassigning the drive letter in Windows would cause the drive not to work.
Homebuilt PC: AMD Athlon XP (Barton) @ 1.47 GHz; nForce2 Ultra; 1GB RAM; 80GB HDD @ 7200RPM; ATI Radeon 9600; Integrated everything else!
