FS: T42's, T42 Frankenpads and T4x series parts...

#1 Post by Smokestoomuch » Thu Nov 21, 2013 5:47 pm

I have a dozen 14.1" machines. They can be as barebones or complete as you want them to be. Most look new. I'm willing to take them apart if anyone needs like-new parts. Some have R51 (w/ATI graphics and Al heat sink) motherboards in them. The only thing I cannot offer is a Windows OS (I use XUbuntu).

FREE: I'll include a yellow A/C connector with any order (something that always goes out eventually). Just mention Free Jack.

T42 14.1" Complete Lower Half (includes bottom tray, Motherboard, hdd cage, DVD cage, Bluetooth modem, MPCI cage, 1.7GHz (2MB on die cache) CPU, Fan and WiFi) = $25 plus ship
T42 14.1" Frankenpad Complete Lower Half (R51 Motherboard w/large heat sink on ATI graphics card) (Includes all parts listed above) = $40 plus ship
T4x series right side screen hinge = $5 plus ship

As per forum rules you must post some type of an asking price for the items you're selling...

In my opinion, listing *exactly* what you have available would help your cause.

Best of luck with the sale.

I would be happy to do that if I knew what people were interested. Is it a part? Is it a barebones machine? What so you consider barebones? Do you want a DVD burner? Is the A//C cord included? Do you want a hdd in the deal? How big of hdd? All the combinations of parts would take me hours and I doubt it would be very useful since someone would want a combination which I haven't thought of. I suppose I could break down the major parts but I don't know that anyone has any interest in them by themselves.

Any time any of us lists something/anything, we don't know what - if any - interest the item(s) will attract. However, the rules are here with a reason.

List a couple of things, then add stuff as you go through it. I've been doing it for years.

Good luck.
