So it is near end of November where is the W540?

Nearly a month later and no sight of a W540... they must have quite a backlog of W530 parts... Looks like the date is supposed to be January 7, 2014 from the answer in the product Q&A...

The xx40 series is arguably an even bigger split from the xx30 than the xx30 was from the xx20 since xx40 is not compatible with older AC adapters or docking stations.

Hey man. I remember with W530 early on you couldn't order it with color sensor. This makes me think that proper time to buy a thinkpad is at the end of its model's life cycle. For example now you could buy a W530 with color sensor, but early on there was just no option for color sensor. That's strange.
