Does my x230 have IPS panel?
I want to know if my Thinkpad x230 have IPS or TN panel. How can I find out? The serial number is 2325SWM, if that is any help.

By looking on the panel. The difference between IPS and TN panel is noticeable in few seconds (contrast, viewing angles ...)

Well... dang. Both the standard display and premium IPS display are 1366x768... so yeah, there's no way for us to immediately tell if your laptop has the IPS display.
However- you can try going to Start, then type "devmgmt.msc" in the search box. Go under "Monitors" and see what it says. If it says something fancy, or it has IPS or Wide-viewing angle in the name, then it's an IPS.

Trying my hardest to collect Thinkpads, but college and being broke kinda gets in the way. However...

So did you find out?
I am looking at buying an 2325SWM second-hand, but there aren't that many hits on Google for this model number, neither can I find it in the Lenovo specifications reference:

What you show here is the MTM, the type/model nr.
Type in your Model (2325) and the real S/N from your label (without the - sign) here:
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product ... ookup.page
Then check the LCD P/N or FRU against the HMM: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... 666_01.pdf

Thank you. I got the serial from the seller, and got the below specs on the parts look up:
I assume that only the last line is relevant. When Googling the two part numbers, some links say that it's an IPS-panel, but as far as I can tell, the "LCD AUO" is the regular TN panel?

Re: Does my x230 have IPS panel?
If I read the AUO B125XW01 V0 datasheet correctly, it is NOT an IPS screen.
