WTB: 2.5" SATA-II SSD (min. 60 GB)

#1 Post by djpharoah » Tue Dec 03, 2013 9:25 am

Looking for a 2.5" SATAII SSD drive to use with my T400. Looking to spend around $60-100. Drive must be in good condition.

Any of these are good or even other models. Looking for at least 60GB drives.

Intel 320 series, X-18M
Crucial C300 and M4
Samsung 830 and 840 Pro

Thanks.

Looks nice but isn't it the smaller size.

It's the 7 mm size...isn't that the smallest size for the 2.5" SATA drives? Standard height is around 9 mm I believe.
I lost count...

It is 7mm thick (and 2.5" wide) and comes with an adapter to make it 9.5mm thick - which it the size of a T400 drive bay.

wow what a small world, I'm in your area. I have Kingston ssd, it's the MLC version which is supposed to be the more reliable ssd. I have put them in for users at my dad's company. They have been very reliable for us, not the fastest ssd but one of the most reliable brands and models I've installed for a bunch of users. Had this in one of his system which we upgraded to a 256gb sata3.

Kingston 128 GB SSDNow V+100 SATA 2 3.0 Gb-s 2.5-Inch Solid State

It's this version but the 96gb model.

$50 for a fellow resident. It's 9mm. Was going to put in my girlfriends system but she seems happy with her 1tb rotational drive. I also found a bunch of laptops in his storage unit I think a a22, t21, r61, x61s with ultrabase, t410 with dock, t420
