There is apparently only one model of the X230 for sale at Lenovo.com, which is below:
http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/th ... #techspecs
It advertises the IPS screen quite clearly under both "tech specs" and "features".
However, when I placed the order, the "part number" in the confirmation is the "2320-HNU". In the PSREF manual ( http://www.lenovo.com/psref/pdf/tabook.pdf ), on page 180, it says the 2320-HNU does NOT have IPS. ("Prem"). See image: http://i.imgur.com/ZL1IY2k.jpg
Why do they advertise IPS but ship you a model without IPS? How do I get IPS?

Re: X230 False Advertising IPS?
x230 being phased out, website probably haven't been updated, the old sites where you can configure screen has ips option
