Move x200s WXGA+ LCD to x201?

After looking at the internal x200s WXGA+ lid components it seems clear the only way to put the LCD into an x201 is switch the lid assemblies.

Or am I missing something?

That's correct, its a direct lid swap. Super simple if you already have both.

Yes, the lid swap is easy enough but I had a request for a WXGA+ with a webcam and was hoping the internal parts might be swappable.
After opening up both lids it’s obviously not going to happen.

There is no such a combination (from Lenovo I mean). I remember reading there is no space for a webcam in the WXGA+ bezel.

I was aware the camera was never offered by Lenovo. But, oddly enough, there seems to be enough space for a webcam but no posts to attach to.

But the main problem is a WXGA x201 ribbon cable would be necessary for a camera and it is totally different from the x200s cable.
The x201 panel connector is near the center top while the x200s is in the lower right.
Also, the LED cards are, at the least, different sizes; about the only similarity is the BT card and location.

Put the lids back together, swapped them and now have a fake x201s – including the front plate.
