Hello guys,
I have mishmash in lcd compactibility.I read in forum that:
1.No possibility swap regular lcd between x41 and x61.(pinout is reversed)!
2.In this topic - x41t IPS dont fit to x32 (pinout is reversed)!
3.x41 to x41tablet (pinout is reversed)?
4.x61 to x61tablet (pinout is reversed)?
5.x41tablet to x61tablet (pinout is reversed)?
So,when all lcds are reversed,it means something is wrong.I have x41t with IPS
and regular x41 and x61.Where I can use my IPS screen from x41 tablet without
cable mods???
Admin edit: Split this from an old X32 FS thread in the Marketplace which detailed the modifications made to fit X41T screen into an X32.

Re: FS: ThinkPad X32 with IPS Flexview LCD, dock *PICS*
I look in this topic, that X41t has HT12X21 lcd and in x61 is HV121P01-100.Acording pdf specs pins are compactible from pin1 to pin16.However,last 4 pins in HV121(x61)are EDID pins and in HT12X(x41t) they are not conected (some are grounded). The question is,that X61 bios need this pins for recognize and starting panel?

My guess (haven't tried the swap myself) is that the answer to your question is "yes, they are required".derick wrote:The question is,that X61 bios need this pins for recognize and starting panel?

Re: LCD compatibility X41T vs. X61/T?
Now I saw, that there are a big difference between panels because one with active EDID pins is SXGA panel, and panel without EDID is XGA panel.Maybe edid pins are required for SXGA+ only?
I look specs for standart panel from x60 HT121X01-101.Its completely another than IPS ones. Also standart x41 lcd N121X5-L02 is no compatilbe for swapping to IPS.
So,I think it will be not possible without cable mods.
