T61 bay latch stuck cannot remove DVD

I tried to remove the DVD from the ultraybay The bay latch is stuck and the handle did not pop out. Can you reset the bay latch without disassembling the laptop? Thank in advance.

Did you remove the screw (on the laptop bottom) that holds that baylatch?
