T60 no lights

folks, I have not seen the laptop yet but she tells me no lights, no nothing. I'm thinking charger or battery. What next?

Have you tried another charger?

Also, try removing both battery and charger, then plug back in and see if it lights up briefly or still not at all.

So the lady drops off the laptop and I remove battery, reinstall and plug in my charger. Push start and machine come right up with 70% charge. I try her charger and all is good, starts charging right away. I'm lost

I know if you install wrong cpu, system does that. I'm sure other motherboard defects could trigger the same protection system. Might have an intermittent problem on your hands, or a one-time fluke..
