Hello,
On my Thinkpad T410s, every time I close the lid, the PC shuts down. I don't want this.
I have chosen in the Power Manager - Global Power Settings - Events - 'apply to all power plans' and 'lid closed: do nothing'.
Still, every time I when close the lid, the PC shuts down.
I have downloaded the latest power manager to try to solve this: didn't work.
I have looked in the BIOS but I don't find any lid related options there.
It used to work correctly, till lately. Can't remember if I installed something or not.
Anybody any suggestions? Thx!

Re: Power Manager - Lid closed: do nothing - doesn't work
I have "do nothing" under Power settings from the Control Panel in Windows 7 on the one I'm currently using.
But I have come across small problems here and there. Sometimes the Power Manager doesn't assign the profiles correctly.
Also, welcome to the forums!!

I have had this issue before. I know it is a cop-out, but my fix was to reinstall Windows and start from scratch.

Re: Power Manager - Lid closed: do nothing - doesn't work
Rather than making the change in Power Manager, I would go directly to Windows' own power settings. Even if it's set to "Do nothing", change it to another setting, save it, and then change it back to "Do nothing". Sometimes Windows has problems with getting those settings to stick.
