#1 Post by maxcoder » Fri Dec 20, 2013 10:28 am

Hi Folks,

When attempting to boot my laptop I got the following the error.
bad crc of security settings in EFI
How do I fix this problem? BTW I purchased today. Really very strange.

Thanks in advance,

Kind Regards,

If bought today, it should be under warranty.
Return for a refund and get a REAL Thinkpad (of the T- or X-series instead of crappo Edge).
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)

You must go to BIOS settings, then go to Security page and set SECURITY CHIP to ACTIVE. Works with my E540, but I think your problem is the same.
