[WTB] X200s, LED-backlit

#1 Post by ThinkRob » Fri Dec 27, 2013 8:11 pm

Here's what I need:

- X200s in good cosmetic condition (no cracked plastic, deep gouges in finish, or notable cosmetic damage)
- good keyboard (subjective, but preferrably not something with missing/damaged keys or other defects)
- LED-backlit screen. Preferrably a 1280x800 one since I'm probably going to replace it later on and don't want to buy another LVDS cable.
- no drive required (I already have an SSD for it)
- 4 GB of RAM or no RAM (I'll keep the 4 in if it comes with 4, otherwise I'll just add it myself)
- Intel 5300 WLAN or no WLAN (I can either use the 5300 or just use one that I already have)
- WWAN not required, but it should have a complete SIM slot
- healthy battery (please provide avg. run-time and cycle count)
- no adapter required

Let me know what you have and what your asking price is.

Thanks!

Hi,

I've got an x200s that I will be parting with shortly (once I've found an x230 to upgrade to). It's not in great cosmetic condition, so if that's a deal breaker, stop reading now...

* Chipped in bottom right hand corner (you can see a bit of circuit board)
* The magnesium chassis at the top of the display had cracked so it's been epoxied, I've been lugging it to uni back and forth for the last 4 months and it's held up solidly!
* 4gb
* gloss AFFS screen (with matte overlay) (1024x768)
* 9 cell which lasts about 8 or 9 hours on Arch with laptop mode tools (on a few notches down from full brightness), last full capacity: 84320, design capacity: 93240. Cycle count: 46.
* Pretty sure it has a SIM slot
* Intel 6300, but I've got a variety of WLAN cards I can put in, or could take them out.

At all interested? I'm in the UK so postage might be a problem.
