LF- Small SSD

#1 Post by schen » Tue Dec 31, 2013 1:16 am

I'm looking for a small SSD that someone has upgraded and is sitting around. I'm only looking to use it with a caching part of a drive controller. 32Gb should be fine. I've got one right now, but the other is dead, so I need another.

Please PM with what you have and what you'd like to get for it and we can chat about it.
Family Daily Drivers- T430s, T530, X220

You'll need to provide us with a few more details, such as: PATA/IDE or SATA (or perhaps mSATA?), speed (SATA-I -II, or -III?), 1.8" or 2.5" (7 mm and/or 9.5 mm?), and any preference wrt. MLC or SLC, and does TRIM need to be supported etc.?

Actually, very few of those things are relevant. It just needs to be a plain-Jane, SATA, 2.5" drive. Really, not even the form-factor is important, although, many 1.8" drives are 3.3v, and I need the regular 5v. I was hoping that someone might have a old SATA-II, small 32Gb drive that has been left-over from upgrades, or maybe even a little bit bigger.

I have a HighPoint RocketCache controller that has the ability to use a regular SSD of up to 64Gb for caching purposes. It already has one 32Gb SSD in it.
