Touch screen on X230T tablet stopped working

I will be going somewhere for about a month in a few days, so I have no time to send my tablet computer to service.

I was drawing on program GIMP with digitizer pen when suddenly it stopped responding.

The touch screen does not respond to finger touch or pen.

The screen is working, including all the buttons, fingerprint reader, etc.

Please help! I tried installing and downloading all the relevant drivers. Nothing works.

Sounds like a hardware issue.

To confirm I would recover the system on a spare HDD. If that is not possible I would go back a few days with system restore after you have a 100% working backup.

If that doesn't work maybe Easyserv can return the repaired X230T to wherever you are headed.

by the way, the webcam is not working. it says it's being used by another program. it may have something to do with the problem.

You could also download a live Linux CD and see if the touch screen or webcam works.

I have used Ubuntu before to troubleshoot with good success.

If you don't have an optical drive you could use a USB flash drive to load the OS.

I fixed the touch screen, and it works well with digitizer pen, but now it has problem with hand touch.

Only function hand touch does is minimize and maximize windows.

It doesn't click icons, scroll pages, etc. which I want to do.

How did you fix the screen?

I uninstalled all touch screen related drivers, then re-installed them... I don't remember exactly what I did.

I could reinstall everything to factory setting, but I know problem will come back again, so I didn't do that.
