DIY RS232 CNC Data Transfer Cable Soldering Tips ? (FANUC)

I bought T23 because it had COM-port to data transfer programs to FANUC CNC(and others...)
Is there a guide how to solder what wire to where to make it work ?
- I have all the parts needed just don't know what wire goes to which hole...?

Serial cables are not always 100% standard; they can vary depending upon the equipment being interfaced. Basically, it comes down to the usage of some of the "handshake" signals. The important part is that you want to construct a "null modem" type cable. This connects the Rx (receive) signal of one piece of hardware with the Tx (transmit) signal on the other piece of hardware. You probably could get away with using the typical wiring standard as shown at these sites:

Your best bet is to consult the documentation of the CNC tool and see if they recommend a particular type of cable.

Using DB9 connector at the P.C. and DB25 at the CNC
This wiring assumes the following:
At the PC pins 3 and 7 are outputs. Pin 5 is logic ground. Pins 2 and 8 are inputs.
At the CNC pins 2 and 4 are outputs. Pin 7 is logic ground. Pins 3 and 5 are inputs.
PC (25 Pin socket) CNC (25 Pin-as required)
3 3 RXD
2 2 TXD
7 5 CTS
8 4 RTS
5 7 GND

Jumper pin 6 to pin 8 to pin 20.

Note! In general jumpering pins 6 to 20 together will suffice. For Fanuc CNC's jumpering all 3 pins is required.

I found a site but cable has:
- 5 wires(+5 pairs)= 10 wires
- 1 extra wire(without PVC)
- 1 large center clear plastic wire
= 12 wires together

What do I do with the "black pair wires" ?
I have no clue how to build this ?!?

Please give us your age and electrical knowledge / background so we know how to tailor the answers. For example, do you know how to solder and do you have the right equipment (25 to 30 watt pencil iron or a temperature controlled soldering station) for the job? Can you read a schematic diagram? Do you have a basic understanding of serial port (RS232) communications? Do you know the difference between the male and female contacts in a connector?

The link you provided at i-logic.com has the proper wiring for 9-pin to 25-pin cabling. The only error I see is that "PC (25 pin socket)" should actually be "PC (9 pin socket)". You only need to use 5 wires. I would pick UNIQUE colors so there's no chance of an error; in other words, don't use any of the black wires.
