BIOS - TP61p 6457-A26 - howto edit, modify and repack v.2.30

I know there is Middleton's mod - http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo/ ... ost6501443 available with number of features.
However, I'm interested in only one of them - basically I would like to enable just the SATA2/3Gbps in my BIOS v2.30-1.08 and I would prefer to make that by myself.

I've extracted the Lenovo's ISO and the FLs so having the files (slightly renamed by me to make it easier to distinguish by names):

Please advise,
what toolset should I use to remove the Lenovo SATA1 limits and what/where exactly should I change, to enable SATA2/3Gbps transfer modes on the ICH8M-E in my T61p.
I would appreciate any kind of instruction or tutorial that shows how to edit, repack and flash back that successfully, ideally avoiding usage of paid tools and rather going with freeware or opensource if possible.
