FOUND: Anyone have a fully working T21 or T22 lying around?
I want a Windows 9x ThinkPad for retro factor, older gaming, and MIDI. Anyone have one? Thanks.

I would have to say that if you want a reliable T2x system, you should stick with a T23. The earlier T21 and T22 systems are prone to the "Blink of Death" (BoD) phenomenon. It's an unpredictable failure to boot/power up that can occur without any kind of prior warning. The suspected failure mode seems to be linked to one of the power controller chips on the motherboard but hasn't been conclusively identified at this point.
Not that the T23 doesn't have its own weak spot, but it's one that is fairly well identifiable and can be repaired quite successfully. See: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=21979

I'm open to any late PIII/early P4 era ThinkPads. It's gotta be compatible with Windows 98.
