Change T440 Windows language?

#1 Post by oliversl » Wed Jan 29, 2014 4:57 pm

Hi,
I wonder if I can change the language of the Windows 7 Pro 64bit that came installed with a new T440. My questions are:
- what is the legal procedure?
- Does R&R support install a Windows in any other language than English?

Thanks
Oliver

Only Ultimate version of Windows allows language switching.

There is a program called Vistalizator which allows to change language in Vista/7, your version of Windows will still be regarded as legal and you will be able to install updates and so on.
My T430 with GTX 560 Ti (Now with GTX 670)
T430: i5-3320m, 8 GB, SSD + HDD, 1600x900.

Thanks! If the procedure is legal, I have no problem. Will research.

Once I installed the RnR and in the first Windows install screen I was presented by a few language options, and that allow me to install in another language.

I just tested the RnR in X240 and T440 and they have Windows 7 Pro only in English.

If you call technical support, they will send you Recovery discs for an alternate language.
