T61 with T61p Screen Assembly

Hi,

I have a T61 with the integrated graphics and the 1280x800 screen. I am looking for a little more real estate and would really love to get a WUXGA or a WSXGA+ screen to replace mine. I know the screen will not fit in my current lid as I have the 14.1" screen, but can I do a full lid swap to a T61p lid? Cruising eBay there seem to be quite a few options for screen assemblies in the resolution I am looking for. I did some searching but couldn't find anything. I just want to make sure that this will work. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the answer to your question is "no". A 14" base will not accommodate a 15.4" lid.

You could swap the screen for a 14" WXGA+ (1440x900) though.

Bummer, but thanks for the reply. Didn't think that was the case but figured if there was a chance I'd go for it. Guess I'll be looking at the 1440x900 then.
